Active Communities Initiative – Now Open
The 2026 ACI is available to eligible community groups, non-profit organizations, societies, and First Nations and Métis Settlements, that wish to build or enhance active spaces that support sport and recreation in their communities. ACI aims to fund capital projects that increase sport, physical activity, and recreation opportunities for Albertans. Application deadline is June 1, 2026

Alberta Provincial Scope and Community-Level non-profit organizations can now apply for funding to support affordable sport, physical activity, and recreation opportunities for children and youth. Grant applications for the Provincial Scope and Community-Level EKCP are open until May 21, 2026.
